So I've been thinking about what I want to write about for this essay and I have had a few ideas about what to focus on. As soon as I read the essay brief the one idea that popped into my head straight away was the Flood for the Halo games, which is a virulent parasite that burrows itself into a host body, takes control of it and then alters the hosts form dependent on the species or the parasites needs. Because of this there are a whole variety of different forms to write about, however it did occur to me that there isn't really a lot of sources to provide information on them so I decided to come up with another idea.

The other idea I came up with was focusing on folklore and myths or more specifically the creatures that are shown within them that change their form and appearance such as werewolves. I quite like this idea mainly because there is a wealth of stories and information on these creatures and if I chose to look at werewolves for example, it ties in quite nicely with the film 'The Company of Wolves' that we've just seen.
